Rilasciati schematici per PS3 NOR Manager: il dual firmware in arrivo!

Il progetto PNM (PS3 Nor Manager) portato avanti da No_one sta continuando ad essere uno dei progetti più interessanti proposti dalla scena underground per il dual firmware su PS3 montanti memorie di tipo NOR.

Il PDF rilasciato, oltre a indicare i punti per l'installazione del doppio firmware, risulta parecchio interessante in quanto offre tutte le informazioni necessarie per la costruzione del hardware capace di supportare il firmware duale e spiega il funzionamento stesso della modifica.

Hi mates,
Here is the PDF documentation that explains how PNM works from an hardware point of view :

- explanations,
- bill of materials (BOM),
- diagrams.


Coming soon :
- A virtual SOCKET #3 to access (Read/Write) the PS3 NOR (on motherboard itself)
It will give the ability to manage what others flashers around do without removing the embedded NOR.
- Realtime tests on a PS3 in differents situations :
* Static switching between 2 firmwares,
* Dynamic switching....


Tasks finished these last 2 days :
- serial link has been enhanced (speed) to 1Mbit/s,
- virtual SOCKET #3 instanciated in the FPGA,
- Teraterm macros to help managing DUMP/UPDATE (not yet fully functionnal),
- automatic detection of the firmware flashed,
- some minor software updates...

Questo progetto, credo costerà qualcosina in più rispetto ai prodotti esistenti... non si parla più di Atmel o Microchip con i loro ATMega o PIC, qui si parla di Altera, architettura FPGA.
Dallo schema sembra che sia più o meno uno starter kit semplificato, con qualche elemento in più (i 2 socket per le nor) e parecchi elementi in meno.

Ipotizzo un costo di circa 100-130€
