Well. The most often problem is to find the best xsvf file for your case.
As you can see, each file has two main numbers in its name - Length (L or l letters) and Timing (T, s, x or n letters)
I recommend to start with the largest xsvf pack (here), 300 MHz files
Important note:
before trying to find the right xsvf file, finish the chip placement / wires routing and don't touch it later.
I know you usually change the wiring until success, but here we will search the best xsvf for the specific wiring.
FIRST STEP (you won't reach successfull RGH starts here)
Here you should find any xsvf file which gives you only short pulses. The debug LED should act like
blink - blink - pause - blink - long pause
recommended files:
TRINITY: T_60.0 / L_0.6
CORONA: T_66.2 / L_0.9
FALCON/JASPER: T_59.4 / L_0.6
This behaviour means the checks have been passed, but the pulse was too long
move to the next step only if you found the file with only short blinks!
SECOND STEP (xbox won't start here, too!)
using the same T (where you had only short blinks), decrease the L until you have mostly "long" cycles.
now the debug LED should act like
blink - blink - pause - really long blink
important note:
you must achieve mostly "long" cycles. That means, you should get about 50-90% of "long" cycles and some amount of "short" ones. That's the best situation, but it's alright if you have 10-50% of long ones.
In case you can't find the L with both long and short cycles, try 150 MHz or 200 MHz folders (with the same or lower T !)
move to the next step only if you found the optimal L value, when you get both long and short cycles with it, but any higher L (with the same T + same MHz) gives short blinks only
THIRD STEP (I hope here xbox should start)
Time to determine the best T!
Nothing difficult. Now, when you have the optimal L value, just increase the T (using the optimal L, of course) until you reach the successful start.
Important note:
If you got only "long" cycles, the T value is too large. The best T should be 0.5 below the edge. I mean, if you have only long pulses with T 60.9, and both long and short with T 60.6, the best value should be somewhere around 60.3.
P.P.S. If you want ALL files released by me in one place, here it is:
