another problem report:
before drill = 8C
after drill = 3C
cannot unlock, it gives false unlock <00 status> but after powercycle gets back to 3C.
locking back to 8C and re-unlock cannot help, still stuck with 3C status.

We need details... is the drive a recent one, MT serial, controller sata, exact procedure used ?

try also on a pc with geremia's tool, not lizard, then report here status register2 value (this is very important)

winbond after unlocking, tray problem --> solved, but no reads discs....
Ok, we have some more test results... 3 liteons with MX unlocked with resistor method... laser problems
Conclusion ? 1.9 firmware bugs not directly related with winbond unlock method, we should all thank TX for telling lies about damages with wb unlock method while hiding firmware problems ...
How to confirm this ? Flash back original FW (full dump).
Go out and test.
Hope 1.9 firmware is not burning lenses...

LT+1.9 have problems with open tray and play dvd.
that happens if we use dummy.bin or source_dummy.bin to make CFW
but if we use a full dump, no problem.
More and more tests on the way...
I made a test as required by reloading the original fw of my dvd drive but not read .... solutions?
Did you use mpx0 to get the drive in vendor mode ?
I thinks that too variable are in " game" this time for do a " book" with statistics
Lucky or unlucky this is a very hardware method 2 mm can be do life or death .
I had do more of 50 test with winbond chipset and Geremia method ( i'm a shop) and never a problem
If it can be from help we can start at note the winbond chipset version ( 1020 1021 ecc ecc) maybe there is a relationship between method / winbond revision
